To Journey with Mary, the Mother of Jesus
Once again busy women (that's YOU!) are invited to spend a reflective,
spiritually enriching evening. If you cannot, or perhaps are not
ready, to get away for an entire weekend retreat, this is an opportunity
to come together with other women to experience the serenity and
beauty of Manresa. Come alone, or bring family and friends. Since
this evening falls in the week prior to Holy Week, we will be
praying with Mary as she journeys with her Son to the cross.
We open with dinner and shared conversation, and then move to
the Chapel to hear a brief presentation followed by praying together
"The Stations with Mary, the Mother of Jesus". There
will be time for quiet personal prayer and the evening will conclude
with a candlelight prayer service.

MARCH 29 - THE CHRIST OF THE EXERCISES
SEMINAR ends
Our goal is a deeper and more personal knowledge and understanding
of the relationship between the Jesus of history and the Christ
of faith for a modern-day disciple. A deeper understanding
of the incarnation/humanity of Jesus will lead us to prayer
and experience of the Christ of faith. The format for each
session will be a presentation by Fr. Ryan along with discussion
and interaction among the community. How do the issues we
are dealing with in the 21st century parallel the issues that
Jesus dealt with in first century Palestine? As St. Ignatius
says: the grace we seek in the Second Week of the Exercises
is to know JESUS, to love him more intensely, and so to follow
him more closely. This will be our personal goal for this
six week Lenten seminar.

19 THE BOOK OF GLORY workshop begins
The Book of Glory: The Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus
according to John.
As is true of the Fourth Gospel in general, John's account of
the death and resurrection of Jesus is unique in so many ways.
The washing of the disciples' feet, the teaching about the Spirit
Paraclete, the dramatic trial before Pilate, the encounter between
the Risen Christ with Mary Magdalene on Easter morning and with
'doubting' Thomas a week later-these are only a few of the events
that are unique to John.
The Book of Glory, the 2nd half of John's Gospel, begins with
Jesus washing the feet of his disciples and ends with the Risen
Christ preparing breakfast for them.
Who is this Jesus who is both king and servant? What kind of glory
is his? What kind of discipleship is he calling us to? Come and
join us!
