LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
PRAYER MINISTRY

See our video presentation of the ministry

We lift up before You,
Lord Jesus,
those who are enslaved
by any kind of evil.
May Your Divine Mercy triumph
even in the midst of
great darkness and sin.

By the power of Your death, Jesus,
You conquered evil
and opened the gates of righteousness
and holiness.

May Your victory over evil and death
bring healing, wholeness and hope
to hearts throughout the world.

(In particular, I lift up these persons/situations.)

We pray this in the Name of our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

Ecclesiastical approval granted by Monsignor John P. Zenz, V.G., Archdiocese of Detroit, May 23, 2008

Light in the Darkness

“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”(Acts 26: 18)

This ministry is one of intercessory prayer for those souls who are heavily involved in evil. We pray they will turn from evil and Satan and embrace goodness and Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Some examples of needs are:

            • Domestic Violence
            • Drug Addiction and Trafficking
            • Other serious addictions
            • Pornography, users and promoters
            • Human slave trade; prostitution
            • Racist attitudes, behavior and underlying fears
            • Abortion and Euthanasia
            • Malicious Gossip
            • Unjust economic structures leading to human poverty and oppression
            • Promoting war
            • Terrorism; mass murder
            • The occult and satanic activities

Be a good Samaritan! (Luke 10:29-37) Please pray daily for people and situations, asking the divine mercy of God to touch their hearts and convert them to Gospel values, this being a form of evangelization for Christ. Jesus calls us to help the afflicted. He says, "Whatever you do to the least of these you do unto me."

Who will pray for these souls and situations encompassed by evil? Is it I, Lord? God calls us to be Good Samaritans and to help all who need our prayers, both victims and perpetrators.

We as Christians tend to hold Satan and evil at arm's length as a fearful thing, but Jesus tells us, "Pray for your enemies." God claims these people as His own and wants us to pray for their conversion. We are called to evangelize. We welcome all to join us with our Father in heaven forever and ever.
