LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
PRAYER MINISTRY

By the power of your death, Lord Jesus, you conquered the power of evil and opened the gates of righteousness and holiness. Let your victory over death and evil triumph in our own hearts and throughout the world. We lift up before you those who are enslaved by any kind of evil. We ask you Lord to let your divine mercy triumph even in the midst of great darkness and sin. May your kingdom come and your will be done both now and forever. Amen.

Ecclesiastical approval granted by Monsignor John P. Zenz, V.G., Archdiocese of Detroit, May 23, 2008

Light in the Darkness

“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”(Acts 26: 18)

This ministry is one of intercessory prayer for those souls who are heavily involved in evil. We pray they will turn from evil and Satan and embrace goodness and Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Some examples of needs are:

            • Domestic Violence
            • Drug Addiction and Trafficking
            • Other serious addictions
            • Pornography, users and promoters
            • Human slave trade; prostitution
            • Racist attitudes, behavior and underlying fears
            • Abortion and Euthanasia
            • Malicious Gossip
            • Unjust economic structures leading to human poverty
              and oppression
            • Promoting war
            • Terrorism; mass murder
            • The occult and satanic activities

We welcome you to join this prayer team by giving of your daily prayers, works, joys and sufferings for a period of one year. Please pray daily for these people, asking the divine mercy of God to touch their hearts and convert them to Gospel values, this being a form of evangelization for Christ.

Who will pray for these souls whose lives are encompassed by evil and who perpetuate evil by their deeds and attitudes? Is it I, Lord? We as Christians tend to hold Satan and evil at arm's length as a fearful thing, but Jesus tells us, “Pray for your enemies.” God claims these people as His own and wants us to pray for their conversion. We are called to evangelize them. We welcome them to join us with our Father in heaven forever and ever.
