The Seminar in Ignatian Spirituality
Mini-Course 1
An Overview of Ignatian Spirituality

September 6 – November 1, 2017

The Seminar’s first Mini-Course introduces participants to Ignatian Spirituality, which is for ordinary people living ordinary lives.  Because it insists that God is with us, it is a pathway to deeper prayer, good decisions guided by the fruits of discernment, and a life of service to others.  It is rooted in developing a real and personal relationship with Jesus and living as His companion in service.

This mini-course  will consist of five class meetings held every other Wednesday evening from September 7th through November 2nd from 7:00-9:30 PM. The topic of this mini-course is Ignatian Spirituality. Those enrolling must attend all five sessions. Presenters are subject to change.

Topics include:

  • Consolation, Desolation and “Our Way of Proceeding”
  • The Spiritual Exercises: An Overview
  • The Dynamic of the Exercises and Ignatian Prayer
  • The Examen and Ignatian Contemplation

This mini-course will also be presented as a weekend intensive on October 13 – 14, 2017.

Cost for the mini-course or the intensive weekend (for commuters) is $150.
Cost for the intensive weekend (for overnight residents) is an additional $50 .
