The second of Luke’s two-part history of the church\, Acts describes how the salvation promised to Israel in the Old Testament and accomplished by Jesus has now\, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit\, been extended to the Gentiles through Jesus’ divinely chosen representatives. Join us as we look at the ascension of Jesus\, the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost\, the ministry of Peter and John\, the conversion of Saul to Paul and Paul’s missionary journeys. \nInstructor: Fr. Steve Hurd\, SJ is Co-director of the Internship in Spiritual Companionship and a popular retreat director at Manresa. \nThis course is offered onsite (space limited to 16) or via Zoom. The selections will include a wide variety of styles\, avoiding the overly realistic or abstract works. \nPlease join us in appreciating our contemporary artists and praying with their works. \nFacilitator: Fr.
