A clinical psychologist\, author and modern mystic\, Finley invites us to be drawn into deeper communion with God. \nWe will use the podcasts from Season 2 of “Turning to the Mystics” (free from cac.org/podcast/turning-to-the-mystics). \nParticipants are asked to spend 30-40 minutes a day listening to part of a podcast\, reflecting on it\, briefly journaling and sitting in silence with it. Before the first session please listen to the sessions “Turning to Teresa of Avila” and the bonus session “The Life and Work of Teresa.” \nFacilitator:  Rosemary Insley is a retired chaplain and bereavement counselor with master’s degrees in pastoral studies and social work. It was the understanding of how a person with faith lived in a changing world—an ancient need\, a current need. How do we live in a world with many and diverse intellectual perspectives? Learning from the past is a clue to the present. \nWe will study three books from different moments in the history of wisdom: The Wisdom of Solomon\, The Wisdom of Ben Sira (Ecclesiasticus) and one of Philo’s essays. \nJoin us as we study the past to find a way to the future! \nInstructor: Fr. DESCRIPTION:Every summer we reserve dedicated sessions for Individually Directed Retreats (IDRs) with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Jesuit or trained lay person. The experience can help you slow down\, become more aware of God’s love and presence in your life\, and help deepen a loving relationship with God. There’s a special atmosphere in the house when people come together for a shared purpose\, growing closer to the Lord and to one another in silent\, prayerful communion. \n“In-session” dates allow for eight-day retreats as well as retreats of shorter duration (four-day minimum within session dates/times). Arrival time begins at 5:00 PM on the opening date of the retreat session\, dinner is at 6:00 PM and the retreat itself begins at 7:30 PM. The retreat ends at 10:00 AM on the closing date of the retreat session. Alternately\, individuals may choose “out-of-session” dates for IDRs between September and April each year. \nRegister Here

DESCRIPTION:Every summer we reserve dedicated sessions for Individually Directed Retreats (IDRs) with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Jesuit or trained lay person. The experience can help you slow down\, become more aware of God’s love and presence in your life\, and help deepen a loving relationship with God. There’s a special atmosphere in the house when people come together for a shared purpose\, growing closer to the Lord and to one another in silent\, prayerful communion. \n“In-session” dates allow for eight-day retreats as well as retreats of shorter duration (four-day minimum within session dates/times). Arrival time begins at 5:00 PM on the opening date of the retreat session\, dinner is at 6:00 PM and the retreat itself begins at 7:30 PM.
