Midweek Retreat for Men and Women
Silent Retreat for men and women based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
Patron: Blessed Francisco Gárate, SJ | Retreat Theme: Encounter Christ, our Rabboni | Retreat Format: Silent | Director: Miss Jennifer Ristine, CWRC | Note: Ends after lunch on Thursday
Encounter Christ, our Rabboni (teacher), through the eyes of the beloved disciples, John and Mary Magdalene. We will begin on Tuesday, September 15, the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows, at the foot of the cross. Before breathing his last, Jesus entrusts his disciples into the arms of his Mother and his Mother to us. From this climactic moment of Jesus’ redemptive oblation, retreatants are invited to remember their blessed journey of faith in the Lord, accompanied by the disciples John and Mary Magdalene.
Jennifer Ristine is a Consecrated Woman of Regnum Christi. Her predominant field of mission has included spiritual and faith formation through teaching, retreats, conferences, spiritual direction, and pilgrimages. She lived in Ancient Magdala (Holy Land) from 2014-2018. She has authored Mary Magdalene: Insights from Ancient Magdala, Nine Days with Mary Magdalene, a historical fiction novel, Becoming Magdalene and a Companion spiritual exercises guidebook. You can find her daily meditations on epriest and RC Meditations. She continues to be involved in the formation of spiritual directors at Divine Mercy University (Virginia). She holds Masters in Theology (Catholic Distance University), Ignatian Spirituality (Comillas Pontifical University), and the Mystics (Catholic University of Avila, Spain).
